This was a special release which included both the 1984 album Junk Culture and the 1991 album Sugar Tax.

Virgin had originally wanted to package Junk Culture with Architecture And Morality - the department responsible for this release being unaware of the plans to reissue the remastered version of Architecture And Morality at the time. After mentioning the project to Andy McCluskey, Andy suggested Junk Culture as a substitute on the basis that both albums featured an equal amount of uptempo pop songs.

Packaging issues aside, the CD's feature new and different imprints to the original releases.

The album is copy protected - a system designed to stop people copying the tracks and burning CD duplicates.
