This book was published just prior to the release of The Best Of OMD album, although the track listing at this time was different and the album was due to be titled Messages in line with the book.

The content provides a fascinating window on the backgrounds of Andy, Paul, Mal and Martin and also provides previously new details on the early days of The Id and OMD.

Mike Humphreys is Paul's brother and Jan Humphreys (Mike's wife) was responsible for running the OMD Information Service for a number of years.

Johnny Waller was an established music writer who had written articles on OMD in the past. He also wrote the content for the 1993 Liberator tour programme.
