Prior to embarking on a singing career, Jennifer Ellison is probably best known for the role of Emily Shadwick on the UK soap Opera Brookside.

Having already established themselves as songwriters of note via Atomic Kitten, Andy McCluskey and Stuart Kershaw were soon approached by Jennifer to pen some songs. As Andy puts it: "Jennifer came and asked us, because she loves our songs: and in this day and age when someone is already famous it saves the record company half a million in promotion. It makes sense".

Andy and Stuart wrote and recorded two tracks for Jennifer: Teardrops In The Rain and Heaven In My Heart. They had also planned to write more, but her record company changed the direction of her music and subsequently her debut release was a cover version of Transvision Vamp's Baby I Don't Care, relegating the Andy/Stuart composition Teardrops In The Rain (now titled Silent Footsteps) to a B-Side track on the initial CD release.

This release, which was CD1 of a 2 CD set, came with a stickered cover and a free mini poster.

Baby I Don't Care was originally a hit for Transvision Vamp which reached No. 3 in the UK charts in 1989.

Jennifer Ellison is a classically trained ballet dancer who had secured her a place in the English National Ballet. She decided to give this up when her acting career took off.

In June of 2004, Jennifer starred and won the reality TV show Hells Kitchen - a show which starred various celebrities cooking under the stern eye of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey.
