Elektric Music was the band formed by Karl Bartos after he left Kraftwerk.

Kraftwerk had been a big influence on OMD and so this collaboration was something of a dream project for Andy McCluskey.

This would not be the last time Karl Bartos and Andy McCluskey worked together. They collaborated on the writing of The Moon & The Sun for 1996's Universal album.
