| Old Gold are a specialist label who originally started out doing vinyl reissues
of classic songs. Various OMD releases had already been reissued via this route.
This release was a special compilation that collected 12" versions of
many synthpop chart acts. As well as OMD the album featured Heaven 17, Japan,
Blancmange and Ultravox.
OMD's contribution is of particular interest because, up to that point, it
was the only time Extended Souvenir had been released on CD.
