TRACK LISTING WRITERS PRODUCER RECORDED
JULIA'S SONG McCluskey/Humphreys/Kneale OMD Open Eye Studio, Liverpool

Prior to forming OMD, Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys had developed some of the early OMD songs in another Liverpool band - The Id. As well as Andy and Paul, the various changing line-ups of The Id featured Mal Holmes and Julia Kneale. Feeling she wanted to make more of a creative contribution to the band, Julia wrote some lyrics that Andy and Paul provided the music for - hence Julia's Song.

The Id actually recorded three songs during the Open Eye sessions including Electricity, The Misunderstanding and Julia's Song.

This compilation provided a window on the early Liverpool music scene of the late 70's - despite the late release of the album (by which time The Id had become OMD and Echo And The Bunnymen had signed to Zoo Records).

The Teardrop Explodes had also recorded a track for this album, but an engineer inadvertently taped over it!

Tontrix, who also featured on the album, included Hari Haralambous - who later became owner of The Pink Museum.

Modern Eon - another contributing band - also later signed to DinDisc alongside OMD.
