La Femme Accident was inspired by a girl Andy met in Belgium who was always having accidents.

Firegun was purely an image Andy dreamt up while the lyrics detail the over the top things that happen within a family.

The double pack was a limited edition later replaced by a standard 12" single. The single's poor chart progress, however, meant that the singles were withdrawn early and very few single disc releases made it to the shops. This had the bizarre effect of making the single disc more of a collectors item than the double pack.

Locomotion was recorded at Hammersmith Odeon the previous year.
