The original 12" remix was done
by John Potoker. The band didn't like Potoker's mix of the song and
decided to pursue a different approach with Tom Lord Alge. In the
meantime, Virgin had printed up 5,000 sleeves which featured a credit
for Potoker and claimed they didn't have the time to reprint them.
To complicate matters, copies of the Potoker mix did make it to
the shops. The difference between this release and the later Lord-Alge
version is as follows:
- Sleeve states a catalogue number of VS888-12.
- Front of sleeve features "Extended Mix" note.
- Back of sleeve credits state "Remixed by John 'Tokes' Potoker".
- Record label states the same.
- Potoker mix has an instrumental intro with no fade-in.
