We Love You had originally been written for the film soundtrack to Playing For Keeps (1986) although the single version was radically rewritten and rearranged.

We Love You had been another suggestion by Virgin who were convinced it would be a hit single. Despite its poor showing in the UK charts, the single was a hit in Australia.
