Then You Turn Away was the third single released from the album Sugar Tax.

Sugar Tax was originally scheduled to be the title track for the album of the same name. Andy had been working on the track during the same week that he had been working on the track Pandora's Box. Realising that Pandora's Box was potentially a single, he concentrated soley on that track. This meant that Sugar Tax was incomplete at the time of the album's release.

Sugar Tax was originally released as an additional track on one of the CD releases of Sailing On The Seven Seas.

Initial releases featured black record labels, replaced with silver injection-moulded labels on later releases.

Andy had written the music for a BBC TV series called For The Greater Good. The theme music was originally scheduled to be the B-Side for Then You Turn Away.

The title Sugar Tax refers to everything sweet having a price, particularly in relationships.
