Hmmm, you’re going to be banging into it all the time, or missing the table when you put a glass down. Maybe you haven’t thought this all the way through?

 I thought of bumping into it also when she said this. Perhaps it'll need some of the flags that were used on the DS tour to stick on each end to help make it stand out more.

 Yeah, Semaphore flags and a some sort of a sonar alarm system-
I'll be walking around cursing and saying, "where did that darn table get to, I thought I just saw it, but I couldn't be sure...".

I got a chance to stick a few more tiles today and now almost all the tiles are set. I'll be able to grout on Sunday for sure (not saying I WILL grout on Sunday-just saying I'll be ABLE to grout on Sunday 8) ).

Here's where I am now:

Fabulous! You could make the edges and the legs the flags!

Wow the blueberry  really makes it pop. 8) NICE!!!!

Tough call on the grout, I think I agree with you the black will probably obscure the circles, but I hear your concerns about the grey blending the light blue and grey. Maybe you can try some test pieces with the left over tile.

Oh and yes, definitely not  orange!!!!

 Hey you blog stalker :) It's fun to know someone other than me is reading it. 8) I haven't documented the process before, and it's fun to look back on the little struggles.

I'm still thinking grey...darker grey...hmmmmmm...

Who says you can't use 2 different grouts in different areas?

There's a way to do it, blocking off areas with a cardboard dam, I like the look of having the grout be uniform throughout the piece. That's just the way I like it (uh-huh, uh-huh). I like the grout to be the "unifying element" so, I try to pick a color that will complement and contrast just a little bit.

Ah the wonders of photoshop.

I dont know how close this really is ( and really rough!) but maybe it will help! I do this with dresses sometimes when I cant decide what fabric to use with what pattern.

I like the black as it helps fill in the circles and makes them stand out.

Hey! That's really cool, Sensoria! I hadn't thought of photoshopping in the grout! I do like the way the circles pop with the black, it also makes the other black areas stand out more, which I like. Hmmmm....I'm going to have to think about this a little more! At least we've got orange crossed off the possibility list  . I'm going to go change into my grungies right now and head to the workshop and finish off setting the COBALT!

Yay!! I've got all the tiles set, now! I've still got a lot to do, though! The next step will be the grout, and then refinishing the table frame and legs. I imagine I've got about 8 more hours of work left to do, so maybe in the beginning of July I'll be completely done! But setting the tiles for sure is the biggest chunk of work. Here's what it looks like right now:
