Hom lp

Postby bobbillbull » Fri Feb 15, 2013 6:34 pm

Tonight after much deliberation I have decided to play my lps from the box set, don't ask me why I have never played it because I love lps over cds but its just me being me anyway the point is the HOLES are to small to fit on the center pin on my turntable, what's all that about I ask myself. I'm sat here looking at the 2 lps thinking how am I going to sort this.!!!!!!

I've played mine, and they fit fine.
Go to sleep little earth, I was there at the birth, out of the cloud burst the head of the tempest

The picture you see is no portrait of me, it's too real to be shown, to someone I don't know

the holes arnt to small or the spindle to big, the tighter the fit the more even the lp will play believe it or not. as an LP is played more the hole becomes sightly larger. If you buy a second hand LP and the holes is very loose usually means the LP has been played a lot.

If the second hand LP sounds total crap lots of back ground noise and static. Easy solution get it wet cleaned properly. I use a VPI 16.5 record cleaner its the best money i ever spent on preserving and cleaning records.

The boxset HOM is 18ogrm vinyl and the sound quality is excellent.
