Which bands have you bought tickets to see in 2015?

Postby BlackPaperCrown » Fri Sep 19, 2014 8:16 am

I know it is early but if bands release their tour dates for next year, what can you do other than encourage them to play ...
Paloma Faith (14th March in Newcastle)
Paloma Faith (20th March in Glasgow)
The Stranglers (28th March in Glasgow) – the best Stranglers gigs in Scotland are in Glasgow

A few more gigs have arrived. Nice
Rae Morris (3rd February in Glasgow)
The Lurkers (7th February in Edinburgh) - tickets were only £4
999 (16th April in Edinburgh) - tickets were only £6, a total bargain
Godspeed You! Black Emperor (19th April in Glasgow) - mainly because Cloud Boat are supporting them on that tour
UK Subs (24th April in Edinburgh)

Orla Gartland (12th February in Glasgow) and it was bought at a pre-sale so secures early entry, hang with the band, chat with the star of the show; you know the kind of thing, all for no extra money!
Orla, being from Dublin, has a wonderful accent and a wicked sense of humour. She is also doing a North American tour in March. Grab your east and west coast tickets here

Well I think this will be quite an interesting gig
T'Pau (13th March in Montrose)
I last saw T'Pau as a full band way back in 1989 when they played Dundee's Caird Hall. I have since seen Carol Decker do the 80s festival circuit and she can still fair belt out China In Your Hands but this time she has a full T'Pau band and is doing a 21 date tour of the UK to promote their first new album for 17 years.
Click here to see the full tour schedule
If it is good I might even go see them the next night in Selkirk.

Jesus and Mary Chain. Newcastle Academy (Providing they haven't split up again by then).
The War On Drugs. Leeds Academy
Simple Minds. Grimsby Auditorium
I'd write and tell you that I've burnt them all.

But you never send me your address and I've.

I've kept them anyway.

Now this is a tour for those who know their current pop music
Alvvays (24th January in Glasgow)

Alvvays are a Canadian intelligent jangly pop band who are making a big impact right now. Their self-titled 9 track debut album is selling like hot cakes and the main song from it (called Archie, Marry Me) will have you singing its chorus all day. Click here to see their entire tour dates and I recommend that you grab the chance to see them while tickets are still quite cheap. They are also doing mainland Europe after the UK tour and are currently trundling around the north of America, going back there in the Spring too
