I was at the Glasgow gig last night. That was totally amazing. The gig was completely sold out and everyone there sang along for over 2.5 hours to pure The Icicle Works magic. Ian had a fanatic time playing the guitar hero and the superb backing band included the legendary Roy Corkhill on bass. He played on the early Black records (Wonderful Life etc) with Colin Vearncombe. A brilliant night

I think you mean The Waterfront in Norwich. I was at that gig and it was completely BRILLIANT :-)

The Icicle Works are on fire right now. I made a special trip to Brighton to see them on 5th May and tomorrow I head to Leeds to do it all over again.

In true OMD style, there is an official (approved by Ian McNabb) recording of the Sheffield gig which you can download for free. Set One (74 minutes long) is here and I will post the link to Set Two when I can darned well find the elusive ...

I found the link to Set Two here.

For both of these sets, you can either download the songs individually or as one hurking zipfile. That latter option is much quicker so click the blue "download" button at the top right and choose the "download as .zip" option.

There is a split in "Who Do You Want For Your Love" because the person recording it had to change memory cards!

The full set list is -
Set One (75 minutes)
1. When It All Comes Down
2. Perambulator
3. Evangeline
4. Seven Horses
5. Little Girl Lost
6. Rapids
7. Hope Street Rag
8. Blind
9. Starry Blue Eyed Wonder
10. Melanie Still Hurts
11. Shit Creek
12. In the Cauldron of Love

Set Two (67 minutes)
1. As the Dragonfly Flies
2. What She Did to My Mind
3. Out of Season
4. Who Do You Want For Your Love?
5. Reaping The Rich Harvest
6. High Time
5. Understanding Jane
6. Love Is a Wonderful Colour
7. Birds Fly (Whisper to a Scream)

Encore: (20 minutes)
8. Up Here in the North of England
9. Hollow Horse

Download it now, like this great band, it might not be there forever ...

I posted this Dundee gig on the OMD Fan Facebook page but it was unceremoniously deleted. So, it is here, all its glory forever now!

Ian McNabb continues to tour on his own and is releasing a new album called Star Smile Strong very soon. To support this, he is actually playing a gig in Dundee on Thursday 20th October 2016 (someone tell Alan Connor).

Details are on Bandsintown and Songkick
