Which bands have you bought tickets to see in 2017?

Start as you mean to go on
Ian McNabb (22nd and 23rd September at the Green Hotel, Kinross). Once again, 50 songs across two nights. This much-loved duo of gigs is fast becoming an annual tradition

Depeche dates and tickets should start rolling in October...

Another first time see ...
The Skids (6th May at the O2 ABC, Glasgow). Yes, as much as they lived just down the road in Dunfermline, I have never seen them live. This is their 40th Anniversary tour. Gee, where does time go?

Sparks are likely to tour next year too. Could be a fine year for the fan of synth-pop's finest bands with all those mentioned and an OMD tour likely too.

Well, I just got tickets yesterday for Midge Ure in Nashville on Jan. 23rd. After the Atlanta show, my wife was ready for more right then and there.

The Stranglers (11/03/2017, Glasgow) the other part of the tradition
Chris De Burgh (19/04/2017, Glasgow) a first time see

On Wednesday we received an email announcing a Nick Cave + The Bad Seeds tour that was hitting our town on June 7th, 2017. Well all right! We got tickets yesterday! The only date in the Southeast is right in town. How could we not go? This does set a record for advance sales, though. Outside of festivals.

I got tickets to hear Billy Idol play in March at the new House of Blues in Anaheim (the House of Blues has moved from Downtown Disney to across the street to Anaheim Garden Walk...not that much of a big deal, but they're making a big deal of it, because not much else happens in Anaheim...). So...Billy Idol in March. It might be fun.
