Seem to remember there being a couple of II fans here?

Just got hold of the reissue of 'Life's hard and then you die'... highly recommended.

Looks fantastic. Priced right. It's just that all summer I seem to be taking lots of quick trips that have a big impact on discretionary spending. And it's not ending anytime soon what with a Bryan Ferry concert in Nashville, TN a week from now. Maybe I can find a copy for sale at Grimeys! I wrote extensively on all that the new collection is missing here:

Just given it the first full listen REVO... it's like hearing the LHATYD album with fresh ears (think they've done a very good job remastering). :)

Good choices of bonus material... the Peel Session included is nice ('Rope' has a great ad lib about 'passing the peas' at the end) and almost all of the b-sides/extended mixes etc.

Got mine for just under $17 from Amazon, so it's a bargain really.

I don't think I've heard any of the pre-LHATYD material but for me it makes sense that it wasn't included here... it would be nice if a compilation appeared at some point though.

Finally, there's talk of the canned (by the label for being 'too dark') album being released this year.

Huzzah! A friend just gave me a copy for my birthday! Will listen to it going home today. The third album should see the light of day on PledgeMusic:
