Morning All !
This may be a long post, but I hope you bear with me..
Many of you will be aware that myself and my wife have a small memorabilia business and have worked with more than 30 former Liverpool FC players over the past 3 years to provide authentic, signed memorabilia at a low cost.
We started Retro Reds because we were fed up of seeing fake autographs on eBay and after approaching former LFC captain Tommy Smith, he agreed to be our patron and arrange signings for us with his team-mates... since then Smithy has arranged sessions with players from the 1940's (Laurie Hughes) up to the 2000's (Gary McAllister) and every decade in between.
We only work with and carry Liverpool memorabilia, but after a meeting with a group of collectors recently we will be working with them on a new venture called ACAF - Autograph Collectors Against Fakes.
ACAF is basically an extension of the autograph collectors forum on eBay, primarily run by collectors, for collectors and carries a recommended dealers list to help new collectors with their buying and authentication issues.
ACAF will formally launch next Friday and will be conducting a range of memorabilia signings outside of football as well as carrying a range of items from approved memorabilia dealers.
The aim of ACAF is to advise buyers, target fake dealers and provide a guaranteed source of genuine memorabilia for collectors.
We also have a nominated charity, which is the popular Variety Club Of Great Britain.
The launch date for ACAF is Friday July 4th and we are absolutely delighted to announce that Andy and the boys will be our first signing the following week.
As we want to get the group off to a great start we are taking pre-orders on signed CD's and photographs now. There are only limited amounts available of each item and as our own mailing lists have a combined total of over 3,000 collectors, there's a good chance these will sell out before the signing, so we are offering them exclusively here for 24 hours only.
To see what's available, please have a look at the preview page here :

The page is set up to take paypal orders only, but if anyone wants to order and pay by other means, please email me direct (not PM) :

We can confirm that 100% of the profits from these will go to the Variety Club and we will later publish some special photos of the VC being presented with a cheque for the sales.
Our initial target is to raise between £17k-£30k before Christmas so that we can purchase a Sunshine Coach for a school and I am confident that this signing alone will get us into 4 figures before the end of next week. Andy thinks we may struggle, but I think we can do it.
A successful launch would also help us secure other big names for future signings, so please, if you want something to add to your collection and be a part of OMD history, join us in supporting this great cause and instead of just chipping in a few bob for nowt, you will get an exclusive signed item and you will be helping kids from the UK.
We really can't thank Andy enough for helping us with this at such short notice and we promise we will get the girls to give them all nice hand massages so it doesn't interfere with rehearsals

If you're going to order, please please please do it ASAP, so we can get the payments cleared and make a big impression from the off.
Many thanks for reading this and thanks, in advance, for your support.
Best wishes,
Bob
