The support act for OMD's forthcoming tour will be the reformed Joy Division.
Joy Division were the legendary Manchester band that achieved cult status on the Factory label and had also played live with OMD in the early days. The band's life was tragically cut short with the death of singer Ian Curtis in 1980 and the remaining members formed New Order.
Now however, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Steve Morris of New Order have decided to reform Joy Division for a series of live performances. Their support role for OMD will be as part of a series of warm-up gigs.
