A brief update on the Atomic
Kitten situation in light of an article in The Sun
newspaper yesterday. Andy just wants to make it clear not to believe everything
you read in the newspapers. Some of the details in the feature were incorrect.
One detail which was correct was the fact that the
girl's lawyers have issued a termination notice, which Andy
and Stuart are disputing. |
| 16th August 2002 |
Andy and Stuart are no longer working with Atomic Kitten as of 31st July. Andy comments that this is due to "legal manoeuvres created by people other the the girls is all I can say right now". |

Whole Again failed to
get any awards at last nights Ivor Novello awards,
especially in the face of stiff competition from Kylie Minogue.
The good news is that Andy McCluskey was briefly
interviewed by the BBC for the event. To view the item, go to this link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/media/video/37990000/rm/_37990299_ivors19_sillito_vi.ram.
Thanks to wwx for pointing this link out.

Andy McCluskey and Stuart
Kershaw are both up for Ivor Novello awards
this year for Whole Again. The Atomic Kitten single
has been nominated for Best Selling UK Single and
also for Best International Hit Of The Year
Andy and Stuart don't expect to win (with stiff competition from the likes
of Kylie Minogue's Can't Get You Out Of My Head)
but it's nice to be in the running. More details from www.britishacademy.com/ivors/nominees.htm.
Meanwhile, Andy and Stuart are both still working away on new material for
Atomic Kitten's next album (although what they consider
their best songs don't seem to finding favour with the Kitten's record label Innocent).
