The
classic 1983 OMD album Dazzle
Ships is due for reissue this Autumn.
The album, which featured the singles Genetic Engineering and Telegraph, will be digitally remastered and will feature bonus tracks, including the full-length version of 66 & Fading. The reissue will also feature some previously unreleased material in the shape of Swiss Radio International - a track that was dropped from the original release - and also a version of Telegraph recorded at The Manor during the Architecture & Morality sessions in 1981.
Meanwhile, OMD will be back in the studio on August 7th for 1 week of rehearsals for the 2007 tour.
Andy McCluskey is also to be interviewed for a forthcoming issue of magazine The Word.

Due to unforseen circumstances, the planned Autumn Architecture & Morality gigs have been put back to next year. Apologies to all those that have eagerly waited to attend, but the rescheduled dates will now take place early in 2007. More details on dates and venues will be posted up in due course.
Meanwhile, the band will be rehearsing again in the Summer for the 2007 shows.
Andy McCluskey has managed to get hold of another
Wilson Rapier Bass - the guitar that he had originally
bought at a secondhand shop in Birkenhead with the money for his 16th birthday
and which was subsequently stolen at a concert in London at the Acklam Hall in
1979. This one is exactly the same as the one he had, a Rapier Bass manufactured
by Watkins in the late 60's/early 70's, but this copy is right-handed.
The guitar was sourced by Reg Godwin who runs a
website dedicated to Watkins/Wilson guitars here:
