The July issue of Record Collector magazine features the interview with Andy McCluskey as previously mentioned on these pages. The interview covers the recent Navigation album (including Andy's top 5 tracks), but also looks at the unreleased material album, OMD's influence on the music scene and Atomic Kitten.

Atomic Kitten keep busy in the meantime with work on the second Atomic Kitten album continuing. Their next single Eternal Flame/Turn Me On is scheduled for release on July 23rd and the Kittens are also due to be supporting Mel C .

Q Magazine feature OMD in their Where Are They Now? section. Paul and Andy were both interviewed in a bid to bring the average Q reader up to speed with current projects. The short feature makes for interesting reading, apart from one consistent error - Next month's Q will feature an article entitled How To Spell Paul Humphreys' Name Right ;-)

Check out the BBC's Top Of The Pops website for an entry on OMD. The searchable Pop Guide section of the site features a biography, details of the band's Top Of The Pops performances and also a clip of the TOTP performance of Sailing On The Seven Seas. Thanks to Pete T for bringing the item to our attention.

Remember a pre-OMD band called Hitlerz Underpantz? Now you can find out more about the man behind the band by clicking on this link for an interview with Adrian Pratt in the Features section. Adrian explains how he got involved with the bands, early synthesisers and his relationship with Andy and Paul before they were in OMD.

A planned OMD fan gathering, scheduled for later this year, has been cancelled. Organiser Paul Turner has decided that time is too pressing to put together an event in time. Paul has posted up on the OMD Forum outlining his reasons in more detail, but doesn't rule out a similar event in the future.

Paul Humphreys' website is due to relaunch soon and the new site promises the latest news and information on Paul's projects as well as all-new graphics and interactive elements. The website will also have a slight change of address to www.mistereality.com.

With the forthcoming release of The Id EP, Andy has been back in touch with the former band members, including Gary Hodgson, The Id's guitarist (and later OMD keyboard tech), who is now acting as technical support for Oasis on their US tour as well as working with Mal Holmes, and Steve Hollas who is back in the UK after spending some time in Canada. Meanwhile, Mal Holmes continues to blaze his own trail with his internet-based music company Fin Music.

Atomic Kitten are the cover stars in the new issue of Sky Magazine. The girls are also interviewed for an inside feature.

Meanwhile, Whole Again has charted so high recently that it's now the No.1 European single. With the imminent reissue of their debut album Right Now, plans are also underway to release the album for the first time in the US later in the year.
