Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys will be returning to their roots next Monday when they visit the site of Eric's Club for a new TV documentary.

OMD are being followed by a TV crew throughout the year for a special programme focusing on OMD. As well as being interviewed and taken to OMD landmarks such as Eric's Club, the TV crew will also be there for the band's first rehearsal performances.

Eric's Club in Liverpool's Mathew Street was the breeding ground for many of Liverpool's bands in the 1980's and the site has since become a bar. Andy and Paul are also hoping to gain access to the original location of The Gramophone Suite - their self-built studio where they wrote and rehearsed in the early days of OMD. The building in which The Gramophone Suite was based is in the process of being redeveloped for loft suites and a private member's club. The Gramophone Suite was originally housed on the first floor at the back where a new restaurant has now been established. You can read more on the development here: www.themontreal.co.uk

The TV documentary has no planned transmission date as yet but is planed for broadcast on BBC TV in the future.

One of the tracks originally dropped from the Dazzle Ships album was titled Swiss Radio International - a song that Mal Holmes famously referred to as "the ice cream song" and which was similar to Radio Prague.

Anyone curious to know what the track sounded like should pay a visit to this website: http://home.arcor.de/uvolk/curis_eu.htm which features a series of sound files culled from various radio stations - including Swiss Radio International (RealPlayer file).

Finally, an ambitious seller on eBay has listed a copy of the original Architecture & Morality tour programme for sale - with a Buy It Now price of £90(!). The seller adds: "it is a very rare item & i have seen it for £200.00 on other websites!!.

Yesterday's recording for the Formel Eins TV show in Munich appears to have been very successful. OMD performed both Maid Of Orleans and Dreaming for the show which is scheduled to be broadcast on German TV in November.

In other news, Andy McCluskey was recently interviewed for a forthcoming Radio 4 programme about the Mellotron.

2nd March 2006

With work on the forthcoming OMD reunion keeping everyone busy, the Muzic2Burn and Listening Pool CD's previously sold via the OMD Website are no longer available. This isn't necessarily a permanent move and we'll post up details on their availability in the future.
