The OMD Discography has been updated to Version 2.0 with the addition of an albums section. As with the singles section, this details all of the UK OMD releases from OMD's debut album Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark right through to The Peel Sessions. Each entry features track listings, production details, notes and trivia.

US fans who have experienced problems in ordering The Peel Sessions might like to know we may have a solution. If you are one of those people that have had problems then please email the // ">OMD Website directly for details.

The Compiled team want to officially confirm that the Messerschmitt Twins will be performing at the One Mad Day event in November.

[poster]During Saturday nights OMD Chat session, US fan Brian brought something interesting to our attention: Amazon.com have listed an OMD poster for sale.

Not necessarily an unusual event, except for the fact that this poster advertises Sugar Tax - while featuring a pic of Paul and Andy culled from the Best Of OMD sleeve stuck on top of the Sugar Tax sleeve design(!). The poster originally turned up being sold by bootleggers in Paris during the Sugar Tax tour.

The legendary Messerschmitt Twins have unveiled their own website. For anyone who isn't aware, The Messerschmitt Twins have the distinction of being the only OMD tribute band. Their most notable performance was playing live at the 1997 OMD Convention. The band have also signed on to be one of the events at the One Mad Day event in November.

Thanks to all the people who have emailed us regarding omissions and broken links on the OMD Website, especially with the Discography and Songwords sections. The site has been due for an upgrade for a while, but the work on the Peel Sessions orders has put this back slightly. The Songwords section in particular has been given a facelift and will be back online in due course.

On the technical problems front: There have been reports that some people have had problems accessing the site (including ourselves!). If you find that the OMD Website is unavailable for any reason can you please email us so we can get a better idea of how widescale the problem is.

 13th May 2000

The OMD Chat Page has been upgraded. If you weren't previously aware, this feature of the website is a chance for OMD enthusiasts to exchange messages in real-time. Chats are generally scheduled for Saturday evening at 9.00pm (GMT). Hopefully this new version will be easier to use for the Chat Page regulars.

Andy has finished work on Atomic Kitten's debut album which is still, as yet, untitled. Andy's current plans include rest, more rest and signing lots of albums...

Talking of the OMD Peel Sessions, we've been receiving some e-mails from people who have ordered the album, but have yet to receive them.

Much as we'd like to, we cannot always give updates on individual orders and answer every single e-mail we get chasing up orders. The instructions and details were very implicit in the order form: the albums will be issued on a first come/first served basis. Those people who were shrewd enough to reserve the album and send in payment straight away were the first to receive copies. We're working through all the orders on the same basis so please be patient and you'll be receiving your signed copy of the Peel Sessions shortly.

With the Peel Sessions album finally released, we've noted that a lot of people have been asking about the proposed B-Sides Album. At this precise moment in time there is no definite news. The idea is still being discussed and considered, however, and as soon as any new information becomes available we'll post it up here.

In the meantime, people who are new to this website can choose our B-Sides Album news archive from the menu on the left which charts the progress of the project to date.

Ian Hayter and Kevin Pretlove responsible for the OMD Collector's Guide Compiled, are organising an OMD get-together scheduled for November.

Titled 'One Mad Day 2000', the event will be "based on the successful Telegraph Trip formula" and is taking place on Saturday 4th November 2000 at The Sparrow Hawk Hotel, Burnley, Lancs.

More information is available from the new Compiled website: www.compiled.fsnet.co.uk.

Some people have expressed concern that they won't be getting a signed copy of the Peel Sessions if they order them. As we pointed out in the April update, we will try and get signed copies to as many people as possible who are currently ordering. It would be a bit presumptious of us to state that *every* order in the future will get a signed copy, but we'll try our best ;-)

Following on from our posting regarding Paul Humphreys and Claudia Brücken, composer Andrew Poppy has contacted us with details of his own website for up-to-date information: www.andrewpoppy.com.
