Paul also mentions that he hopes to post up footage from both the Portugal show and also the Islington OneTwo concert online in the future.

The recent OMD Event 2005 raised a total of £1,290 for the two chosen charities Asthma UK and Child Flight.

The event featured both a charity auction and also a raffle that featured items donated by Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys & Claudia Brücken and Mal Holmes amongst others.

Some of these items were exclusive OMD rarities such as some previously unreleased OMD material on CD, the book prop from the Genetic Engineering promo video and a number of signed items.

Thanks to all those that contributed to the charity events and also to Andy, Paul, Claudia and Mal for donating items. Thanks also to Chi (Jimmy Messerschmitt) for donating a signed Dazzle Ships poster for the auction.

An update on the planned OMD reunion: Stuart Kershaw will now also be joining the band for the Germany performance.

The band will be doing Maid Of Orleans for The Ultimate Chart Show on RTL recorded in Cologne. The show will feature a rundown of the 50 top selling acts from the 80's in Germany based on their weeks in the singles charts for that decade. The show will also feature the likes of Paul Young and Maggie Reilly.

The performance will be recorded at the end of May, but will actually be broadcast mid-June.

The event that OMD fans has prayed for and which was first put forward publicly at the OMD Event 2005 now seems to be taking a step closer.

There are plans for OMD to perform at the end of May for a German TV show.

Although details still need to be worked out, the current plan of action will see Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys and Mal Holmes reunited to perform as OMD once again. Martin Cooper unfortunately cannot commit to the reunion at this time.
