Sad news recently as Roger Eagle has passed away. Roger Eagle was founder and co-owner of Eric's Club - the Liverpool venue where OMD played their debut concert. Roger Eagle was a legendary figure on the Liverpool club circuit and Eric's Club became the founding ground for most of the major Liverpool bands throughout the late 1970's and early 1980's. Echo And The Bunnymen and The Teardrop Explodes both played their debut gigs at Eric's and the club was a regular haven for the likes of Holly Johnson, Pete Burns, Bill Drummond and Pete Wylie.
